Part-2
At the heart of Knowledge Agriculture®(KA) lies the power of data-driven technology, harnessing the Internet of Things, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and satellite systems to gather real-time insights across the entire food chain. The book describes these technologies including generative AI, cloud computing, and advanced analytics, to guide decisions on seeding, irrigation, and fertilization, optimizing resource use, and minimizing waste.
KA proposes a revamped global educational curriculum that includes modules on responsible agri-chain practices and sustainable development, embedded across disciplines from agriculture and management to data science. Bridging the Language Gap through translation technology, KA empowers educational institutions to serve as catalysts for social and environmental transformation.
By building a fair data repository and fostering collaboration among all stakeholders, from farmers to consumers, this data-driven approach shall revolutionize the agricultural sector. The book argues for a move away from profit-driven models, advocating for inclusive approaches that prioritize holistic development. The authors provide a comprehensive survey of the existing technologies, the shortcomings of precision agriculture, and a detailed roadmap for the adoption of KA.
The KA initiative—dedicated to solving global hunger—resonates with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” (Together with All, Development for All, Trust of All), reflecting a shared commitment to inclusive growth, mutual trust, and global prosperity.
Under PM Modi’s leadership, India has witnessed unprecedented digital and technological transformation. The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) revolutionized financial inclusion, banking over 55.17 crore beneficiaries with a cumulative balance of ₹261,461.25 crore. In October 2024, India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) set a historic record with 16.58 billion transactions in a single month, cementing its role in India’s digital evolution. His leadership during COVID-19 further showcased India’s global impact, with over 2.2 billion vaccine doses administered domestically and distributed worldwide.
PM Modi’s transformative approach to agriculture positions him as a global leader capable of championing Knowledge Agriculture. This fusion of technology, ethics, and sustainability offers a scalable blueprint for ending hunger while protecting the planet.
